Welcome to the Early Career Researchers (ECRs) Community
About the Community
Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) is emerging as a key concept for the development of the next generation of chemicals, materials, and technologies. As this field continues to grow, Early Career Researchers (ECRs) will play a central role in shaping its future and driving innovation across academia, industry, and policy. The NSC community already brings together a diverse network of researchers, institutions, and European projects working towards advancing SSbD principles.
The mission of the NSC ECRs Community is to connect and empower ECRs working in areas related to SSbD. By fostering collaboration, visibility, and professional development, the community aims to support the next generation of experts who will shape the future of safe and sustainable chemicals and materials.
Our goals
● Build a strong and inclusive network of ECRs across disciplines, institutions, and countries
● Facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange among ECRs
● Increase the visibility of ECR contributions to SSbD research and innovation
● Support professional development through training and skill-building workshops
Where it all started
The ECRs group is composed by researchers that are involved in nanosafety projects: researchers, students, PhD students, postdoc, technicians, staff members and stakeholders. We currently count 80 members from all over Europe. Visit here for more insights.
