Nina Jeliazkova is a founder and co-owner of Ideaconsult Ltd and is technical manager of the company. Her expertise include providing consultancy, technical services and software development in the areas of chemoinformatics, QSAR and data mining; design and feasibility study of computer networks; support to governmental organisations and SMEs that require assistance in writing projects in IST and the Environment. She is currently the acting Chair of WGF.

WG Co-Chair

Andrew L. Nelson is a Professor in Nanotoxicology at the University of Leeds. His area of expertise covers the fields of organised phospholipid layers, surface induced phase transitions, nanoparticle/membrane interaction and toxicity sensing. He is currently acting as the Chair of Working Group E and leading the Chemical Safety by Design subgroup.

Steffi Friedrichs is the Founder & Director of the AcumenIST. She has been a leading expert, policy advisor and business representative for emerging technological innovation for over 20 years. Wishing to support the advancement of transparent, science-based policy-making, Steffi gathered a strong track record in the establishment, development and representation of technology-based companies, and created and ran participatory technology assessment workshops. She initiated several outreach and communication initiatives to foster the public understanding of novel technologies.

Keld Alstrup Jensen is a Professor and Senior Researcher at the National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NRCWE). His research focuses on materials and methods for substance identification, grouping and biological fate testing, occupational exposure measurement and assessment, and tool-development for control banding and predictive risk assessment and management. Currently he is Co-Chairing Working Group C focusing on Human Risk Assessment.

Monique Groenewold is currently coordinator of the Knowledge and Information Center for Risk Nanotechnology (KIR-Nano) at RIVM (since 2012) and coordinator of the H2020 project Gov4Nano. KIR knowledge and information point risks of nanotechnology -nano signals risks of nanotechnology and developments for people and the environment. This organization connects different research fields within RIVM and (inter) nationally and translates this into policy.

WG Co-Chair

Thomas Kuhlbusch is Unit Head of the Air Quality and Sustainable Nanotechnology division at IUTA. His expertise include R&D coordination, development of research plans, personnel and finance management, adviser for state agencies, public bodies and industry and coordination of national and international networks and research projects. He is currently a Co-Chair of Working Group G.

WGC-1 Chair: Human Exposure, WGD Co-Chair

Wouter Fransman is a Researcher Scientist at the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) specialising in risk analysis for product in development and exposure assessment research. He is currently the Chair of Working Group C focusing on Human Exposure and Co-Chair of Working Group D.

Soco Vázquez-Campos leads the Human & Environmental Health & Safety research group at LEITAT Technological Centre. Her research aims at assess the impact of novel materials (specially focused on nanomaterials) and products on human health and the environment.

WGC Co-Chair: Human Hazard

Wim de Jong is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Health Protection at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM). He is involved in the safety evaluation and risk assessment of xenobiotics, biomaterials/medical devices and nanomaterials, both by in vivo and in vitro research, and research in development of alternative methods for safety evaluation. He is currently a Co-Chair of Working Group C focusing on Human Hazard.

WGB Co-Chair

Wolfgang Unger is a Director and Professor of the Division Surface Analysis and Interfacial Chemistry of the German Federal Institute of Materials Research and Testing. He is currently a Co-Chair of Working Group B.
